Our Biological Clock

We are all creatures of time: tick-tock, tick-tock A finely tuned machine is our biological clock Set into motion by the hand of God It eases us gently into the Land of Nod Lets us know when we awaken too soon Curls up with us at night in winter's cocoon And yet, it seems to me it's not been perfected As these two glitches I long ago detected Days are long, while years speed by And how afternoons at work do slow down, Oh my!

Those days at work really do slow down and weekends go faster than, "greased lightening", as they say. Another fab poem here.

Oh, for those long-ago days when we slept through the night!...we can cherish those too, I guess. Best, Gershon
