Oubliette
Calligraphic psyche in a delicately expressed avalanche;
Addressed to whom it may concern in a note, carte blanche.
Four walls house the sweet suicide, boxing floor to ceilings;
Heavy pen seeking solace, in the paper basket of crumpled feelings.
Woven casket of emotions, burning in the fire of memoirs' curse;
Heart bleeding in the small print, upon his white board's blank verse.
Black board yearns the chalk who defines her essence in his signature;
Spaghetti junction, crossed paths of hurts, haunting the bigger picture.
Four seasons ending upon forked roads in the crossed I's;
Smudged in the leaking paneled mirrors, seeping from the soul of lies.
Ball-point pen lamenting in dotted T's of tears, blurring beauty's vision;
Audible taunts blemish mind's canvased dreams, setting core a mission.
Indelible marker of permanent heart-break screaming out in the spirit, quilled;
Dim lights singeing angst in midnight oils, spilled.
Tarnished scenes play out the imprints onto an easel, noir;
Pastels imploding in the varnishings over garnished voices, mar.
Acrylics blending in with the fractured vessel, stagnant;
Shattered foundations exploding inside the rebuilding fragments.
Shadows and light kiss rainbows, once lost to the blame-grilled charcoaled essentia;
Silver lined Aura's serenity begins, now found in the pendulum pit of adventure.
