Across the moats of light year spaces, Across the dark of the earthbound skies, Starlight leaves just the faintest traces Collecting softly upon my eyes. Dimmed in brilliance by the nearer moon They are lost in distance, and dwarfed in size, And I, like them, am in other places And will not be back anytime soon.
