Other Places
Across the moats of light year spaces,
Across the dark of the earthbound skies,
Starlight leaves just the faintest traces
Collecting softly upon my eyes.
Dimmed in brilliance by the nearer moon
They are lost in distance, and dwarfed in size,
And I, like them, am in other places
And will not be back anytime soon.
