Orphanhood

ORPHANHOOD There’s only a life to have Why yours are all warm, But mine’s cold without care? No parents to have? No birthday and name? No relatives and friends? No hometown to recall? Oh NO and NO! So cruel! Tightening down my body Shivering out my soul Blowing away as dust To a twilight future! I walk in the dark, Search for hands that lead the way O dear, Dad and Mom! Dad seemed know nothing! On earth, here I am! Mom turned to her back Left away the new-born O thou, an orphan I am! I strive for my long, long life Count each day to pass Wish my life could miss The only day I was abandoned! Here and there, loving arms Hold me tight to caress But I need the only ones Could hold my heart from bleeding! If there is life after A tree I wish to be! As the trees did not deny Their sons and daughters coming into this world. Of being an orphan I am not afraid! Dec 2020
