Orphan

O-Outward she seemed fine and healthy
R-Really it was a dagger in the heart to hear!
P-Penetrated through the ovaries was a cancer cyst.
H-Happened that it was the size of a grapefruit before we knew
A-And it had metastasized so that numbered her days.
N-Now both of my parents have passed on, and I at the age of 43 am orphaned.

Miranda, An orphan from the Greek: ??fa???, romanized: orphanós)~~ a child whose parents have died, are unknown, or have permanently abandoned them. Reached out and touched by an orphan. I'm so sorry for the loss of your parents. The holidays aren't quite the same when they no longer sit beside us. -Richard

Thanks! Mom was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. "Social distancing" would have ruined mom emotionally. God new that and spared her. And yes, I miss both of my parents!

My dear cousin Pam had ovarian cancer then pancreatic. The Lord allowed her to live one more year after the original operation. She saw her only daughter get married. That comforts my heart. So sorry for your loss.

I believe death is not the end ,those that have departed this world do not really depart from our souls, the memories of them in us it's all we need to know that they are still alive and with us forever more. So Miranda know that your parents are always with you no matter what the only difference is that they are not with you physically but spiritually, so be strong dear??

Mom was a strong Christian and I know her next conscious thought will be the resurrection of the Saints. Thanks for your kind words.

So sorry the to hear about your parents this way. All we can do is keep them in our prayers. Miranda I was on Military assignment over seas in one of those places where you wouldn't think we have people when I made it back to the states both my parents were gone. And this was back in the 80's
