Original Sin

they were born naked
and shameless blissful
replenishing the earth with
off springs caring for the soil
subduing the hungry animals
abstaining from eating the fruit
from the tree of knowledge of good
and evil till she succumbed to the pre-
ssure of temptation on a spring afternoon
an ostrich hides her head under the hot sand
