Original Sin

you danced with me for a while baring your deep soul telling me of plans you made before you had to go little of me did you learn as all of your dreams spilled forth I tried so hard to hold on to you the road had too many forks secrets of a mysterious life you kept them all to yourself guarding all of those little white lies boxed high upon the shelf another morning after many a night I woke to find you gone I knew your distant devil was finally draggin' you along you packed it in all the original sin with your list for all you yearn hold me tight, one last time on my forehead your lips burn you swore you were heading for happiness and for wanting you had no shame I loved you and I lost you you'll find that neither will you when I come to you in dreams
