Ordinary Hero

An ordinary hero arose today
A friend’s anger was turned away
A child’s heart was lifted up
The thirsty drank from a full cup

An ordinary hero arose today
A child’s hurt was kissed away
A bandaged covered a skinned up knee
A cry was turned to joyful glee

An ordinary hero arose today
Who was that that hero who saved the day?
There is a hero inside us all
Just don’t let your hero drop the ball
