Opposites

Opposites

My love is fragile; your love is strong,
I have reservations you see no wrong.
I’m a worrier; you’re always at peace,
My courage is a weakling, yours is a beast.

I walk with caution; you take a great stride,
I’m a little bashful, while you never hide.
I’m a conservative, while you’re more carefree,
I’m a land-dweller, while you’re more at sea.

We are complete opposites yet it works somehow,
I live for the future, you live for now.
Yet when I look in the mirror it’s your face I see,
Which reminds me why you’re perfect for me.
