Open Your Eyes and Ears
The blind won't teach the deaf to hear
Your muffled visions fall on stitched closed ears
Listen to music that plays for your soul
The sounds are powerful they have a lot of control
The rhythm unfolds with each sound combining into a melody or beat
It flows to your mind, heart, arms, fingers, and your feet
Our life lessons are still misunderstood
We're only living the life that we wish we could
Words of wisdom come to my ears
Telling me what I know in my heart, but never wanted to hear
We always have to keep our eyes open to something different
In these implicit days we have to pray and repent
Eyes wide open, but you don’t look around
You don’t open your ears, you don’t hear a sound
Keep your eyes wide open be careful of the lies that surround you
Only your heart knows what is true
Sometimes the truth does not seem to exist
Is it that your eyes on you are playing tricks?
Do want to hear a silent voice?
Shut your ears and open your heart it’s your choice
