"open Wounds"

Awaken by lights flashing and sirens loud
He looked out the window and all he saw was a crowd
He runs down the stairs hoping not to fall
Suffering from a headache…you know the type from alcohol
He opens his front door and runs across the street
He saw a body laying under a sheet
He asked his neighbors what is going on
They told him his friend was shot in the head and he is gone
He said to himself this cant be
He was just with his friend before he had gone to sleep
He cries on his way back across the street
Thinking about how life without his friend is going to be
As looks for the dog tags they got when they were ten
He noticed something strange on his hands and skin
Then images flashing over and over again
Of the last night he spent with his friend
Vowing to never drink alcohol again
