Open Arms

I touch my lips
A familiar place
where you have been

How strong your
soft kisses were
Breathing life into
the area of my mind
that love had killed

Taking me back to a time
when I welcomed love
Before love murdered
a piece of me
that was alive and free

I feel silly
To have allowed
someone to change who I was

But
I'm so happy now
to have realized
the error of my ways

And at last
I welcome love
with open arms.

nice one...you know sometime we can't be certain about somethings...we need to take risk...you took that risk in loving and it was worth it...nice poem
