Oops, There Goes the Baby Grand

It's not because of flood or fire, nothing more than a desire that's prompting us to tear apart all that we've established here. Tired of treadmill tedium breakfast always at eight am, walk the dog by nine o'clock, skim the pool tick tock, tick tock. Time to find new closets, in which to re- arrange familiar things, possessions, we can find in our sleep Convenience, imprinted on memory Decisions now on what we must cull things we thought we'd always keep. Oops, there goes the baby grand, the price of shipping way too steep. We know of roads we've yet to take, new friendships that we've yet to make. Unseen rainbows and unformed dreams, leaving behind established routines. Beyond - a new horizon rises Freedom comes from letting go Detachment happens from cutting strings Mix up the pieces - start again

How funny it truly is, just how similar our interests lies. I too am selling my piano, BUT keeping my electronic keyboard so my fingers won't get rusty. ... P.S. Still working on that Glosa, and when it's finished, I like your idea about setting up that blog!

Funny for sure. I took lessons at age 50 because I had always wanted to play. Lately I was becoming rusty and was forgetting a lot of what I learned so I have been sitting down in the middle of all this rush to play for an hour. I have a nice arrangement of Moon River that I have re-polished. Amazing how much I forget if I don't practise. Hope you are making progress with your move.

oh my what an ending. mix it all up and start again. I had thought we would be moving to another part of Utah. So happy Joe decided against it. I know you are moving to the mainland. Remind me where again. I love how you wrote about your life here.

This one caught me. Me entirely, I was totally into it and loved it. You know me I love poetry that rhymes and makes sence. It touched me personally with me going through something similar. How much do I like it? I'm going to fav it. and I don't fav everything. But this ones impressive.

I love this attitude you have towards the move, Suz. I myself am quite excited to downsize, and get rid of 15 years worth of clutter ... it may seem extreme at first, but having less is refreshing on the soul ... and think on the bright side ... less to dust and clean! "Oops, There Goes the Baby Grand" ... your title is also quite memorable. I'll be back to read this again, as it is very relevant to my situation as well!

Parallel experiences , Tim: I agree it is good to go through the clutter. I have an electronic keyboard that is much more portable so I will still be able to practice thank goodness
