Ontogenesis
Now I must ponder your meaning
The coming of a smile is like a ship
Sometimes it is swallowed by the horizon
But you have this thought on your lip
And my heart was a sail before
Carrying me where I did not want to go
But you keep coming and coming
And I can no longer pant softly nor slow
It is the sweet beginning beginning sweet
But why me, all my castles fell like sand
My dream is just a crumpled sheet
And evening curled up like a flower in my hand.
