Onslaught

drip, drop, trickling
rising, overflowing now...
emotional dam

wreaks havoc, torn, tossed
destroying walls, drowning wells...
no signs of stopping

gushing, roaring, lost
freedom to flow everywhere...
seeps to silent sea

Nikki, these haikus tell the emotions with such power, as if each verse is a turbo engine. One love, my friend.

How creative to compare the rain and water to emotions overflowing from an "emotional dam. I especially love the last line -- that's where our emotions go, silently to a sea of feelings. Excellent entry for the ontest, Nikko, and I wish you success! Love, Carolyn
