Only Time
Oh I'm sorry Mr C but could you turn on the T'V
I've given up, I've faded away
And you, well you refuse stay
We are strangers, on the side walk
Walking hand in hand because we promised
we could do this together
That we would face this world together
but you've given up, you've faded away
and I have promise that I'll stay
I always do what I say
That is just my way
I'm sorry, dear old stranger, along the side walk, with the litter at my feet
I think it's time that we came to an end
We had a good old running, but I think we've run it out
soon you'll forget that I even exist
memories will go long after my eyes have dried
the interpretation will ring when you hear my name again
but you will feel nothing and I will feel the same
We have moved on, we let go
isn't funny how only time can heal
