Only the Night

My body is on earth
My soul in hell
After you left me
I fell and fell

Deep into darkness
Is where I do lay
Only the night
No longer the day

Fading from thoughts
Trickling the mind
Everything I loved
Now left behind

I creep and I crawl
I haven't energy to walk
I am mumbling my words
I can no longer talk

The darkness corrupts the veins
It is now even in my blood
It came in slowly
Now I am drowning in the flood

Weak and wearing spirit
Fading from where I lay
Only the night
No longer the day
