Only the Heart

Only the Heart...           Can see through the Lies...                         Betrayal...          
Fear and Regret...                              Only the Soul...             
Can find Love through the Darkness and Pain...
Sometimes you give your Heart and Soul...                           And it comes back to you...
Sometimes you give it...                             And it is never returned...
Feeling the Failure...                            Anger..                              Sadness...
The Regret...                     Fear...                       Pain...                         and Loneliness...
How do any of us ever go on?                             When your Heart and Soul are Dying....
When you cannot Endure anything more...                     When your Heart is Cold and Black...
When you are just Dead inside...                                             How do we ever go on?

Charlene Bird July 22, 2009 at 8:25 PM I love the form because it is a reflection the emotianal rollercoaster that you are riding on, saddness weeps through your verses friend, love is hard and it can leave you cold and even bitter, but, keep your head up the light will shine your way again someday. I hope you feel better and keep the ink flowing.
