Only One Coin To Throw In

Only one coin to throw in
But so many wishes to make
My feet ache as I walk to
The middle of nowhere,
Wholly wanting this well
And as I cast my change
Into the hollow hole
I feel my wish is worthless
But it’s one less penny
In my pocket
