Today the soul has rise
The soul has risen and left the hope
The hope that was the dream
The dream that many look upon
Today the soul has risen from America
America grieve not alone but with the whole world
The world have heard the news
The dream that a little girl lived
The girl that become a powerful woman
Today the soul meets the creator
The creator too so happy
He too is proud of all the accolades
Today the soul receive its ultimate awards
The awards of joy after many years of labour
It’s the labour that has inspired the world
The world that sees through
Today the languages miss a word
The word that has been in the lips of many
The word that will live for generations
The word that will always give hope to children
Today the angel takes her place
The place of the greats
The sit that will be taken now
Today the words are the only that talk
‘If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your
attitude. Don't complain.’
It is these words that will forever change our lives
I too wanted to touch you
But today only your words can touch me
Oh hail the black ocean
Today only light shines
The stars have gathered
Today only Maya Angelou can walk
Even the sun leave regards
Even I look upon this splendid view.
