Only Because of Your Love

They told you to beware
They said that together we'd go nowhere
They say my life had been limited to what I came from
But look at me now, look what I've become

You still embraced me and opened your heart
Guess you knew you could rebuild the girl the world tore apart
Along the journey you've known you could keep me strong
And the whole way there we're writin' our own love song

 They told you to beware
They said that together we'd go nowhere
They say my life had been limited to what I came from
But look at me now, look what I've become
 Only because of your love
You lift me up as I stumble and fall
Your love carries me when I can only crawl

I came to you as a lost and broken girl
Too scared to trust a soul in the world
 I was shy and confused
 In search only of myself
But look at me now, look what I've become
 Only because of your love
You lift me up as I stumble and fall
Your love carries me when I can only crawl

God knows lovin' a lineman can sometimes be lonely and cold
Yet waitin' here with just your memory to keep me warm never grows old
You tear down those walls one nail at a time
You show me who I can be
You light up my heart for the world to see

Look at me now, look what I've become
 Only because of your love
