One Year Apart

One Year Apart One year apart is ages Contact comes and goes Understanding comes in stages As people age and grow There are some ties that seem to break But thoughts they cannot cease For on the day that you were born The fabric of our lives was creased Pranks and Sabbath nights We knew it would not last Innocence is just a word That now lives in our past One hemisphere to another I miss you all the time Two brothers from one mother Wounds will heal in time A ticket is expensive But worth it to be sure Understanding’s comprehensive You’ll have to find your cure For now I leave it open There are things you have to do When you feel like you’re not coping Know that I’ll be there for you

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
