One Woman's Truth

I believe
           in rainbows, flutes and hummingbirds
           in reveling in little joys
                     in love at first sight
hanging on with all your might

I believe
a couple can achieve their deams
            in hard work and perseverance
                        that faith in a man
helps HIM believe the WE can

I believe
in the goodness of a man's heart
           in turning the other cheek
                     believing in him
When others say he can't win

I believe
           in serenity, courage, and wisdom
the strength of character to fight
                      a man's conviction
                               can win, over his addiction

I believe
in a woman's faith, love and steel
           in loving enough to carry
                       the burden for two
even with the odds against you

I believe
in the sacred vows of marriage
in to love, honor and cherish
                       till death us do part
even if he breaks your heart

For I believe that hearts can heal
and once again be taught to feel.

Some times the strength is just a front to cover the fear, but it works until I am truly strong again! Thank you Carrie!!
