One Wish

Intrigue is a word not quite strong enough to explain
how you made me feel
It was a newness so joyous a longing so deep, and your
face in my mind such a thrill
So I turned on the light picked up my paper and pen
and I purposely started to write
Striking chords in my soul with a voice in my thoughts
so tender deep into the night
My presence you welcomed as my feelings I shared, though
so brief I savored every second of the time
Perhaps this wish, just my one will be granted one day
and maybe my dear you'll be mine.
