One Way Trip Ticket
ONE WAY TRIP TICKET?
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS
A Round Trip Voyage to Where: and for Why?
Can’t Solve the Mission, No Matter How I Try
Somewhere along the Path, Did I a Miss the Sign?
That Tells Us What Awaits at the End of the Line
It’s a Tough Journey Without Knowing the Goal
Is it a Test to Determine the Plight of Ones’ Soul
With So Many Earthly Versions, its So Hard to Tell
Is There Really a Heaven? Is There Really a Hell?
Of All the Earthly Guesses Are Any of Them True
Is this a Test? Is this a Game? I Wish Someone Knew
If So, What Are the Conditions, I Need to Know More
What’s Fair, What’s Foul. And Who’s Keeping Score
Earthly Consensus Claims That this Is Just a Trial
Rewards or Punishments Are an Awaiting Denial
With So Many Final Options its So Hard to Chose
Choosing the Wrong Tenet Will Cost You to Lose
Hindu, Moslem, Christian, Jew. They Are All the Same
We Continue On, When We Reach the End of the Game
Or Is this All Nonsense: a Made up Plan on the Fly
No One Wants to Cease, When its Time to Say Goodbye
Come Back as Someone Else, a Flea, Dog or Cheetah
Enter Pearly Gates, Get a Harp, Cloud from St. Peter
Indigenous Peoples Wed to the Earth Make the Claim
Our Spirit Returns to the Earth from Whence it Came
