One Way

Traveling down life's one way street
Miles passing under my feet
Pass the mountains touching the sky
Searching for the why
Been near and far
Has brought many a scar
This never ending search
Pondering questions upon this unstable perch
Balanced between what was true
And what I thought I knew
Different than the pictures my mind drew
Alone hungry and cold
Sorting out the stories retold
Student of life
Knowledge that one makes his own strife
Was in the lost and found
Where knowledge makes no sound
If in truth it's bound
It's just a feeling
Of you healing
On this one way street
We learn from all those we meet
Sign post to guide your way
Hopefully something new each day
Listen to what they have to teach
So many conclusions to reach
What ever decision you make
What ever path you take
Don't be fake
Be true
Be you
