One Stand Isn'T Enough
Instead of shattering away my dismay,
You turned the cold shoulder today
Forgiveness is on my tongue thankfully
You took it for granite and I have no pity
Let go of me,
Your gravity
Please leave me be,
My reality
For, I’ll be the one who’s standing
I’ll be the one…I’ll be the one…
I’ll be the one who’s standing
On both feet…
I couldn’t even catch my train of thought
I’m tired of pretending to understand you
Too many emotional battles I have fought
Typical of you to ignore me like you do
You don’t understand
My heart is like the serene moon
No need to hold my hand
I’ll step out of the darkness soon
For, I’ll be the one who’s standing
I’ll be the one…I’ll be the one…
I’ll be the one who’s standing
On both feet…
Heaven and hell collide into nothingness
I made progress to eliminate the distress
However, the world might view me as insignificant
I’d rather not be the giant, but the hardworking ant
I watched you give in
To failure, a corrupted win
You are a believer still
Just trust in your will
You’re strong enough to fight your demons of woe
Don’t leave room for mere sin to overwhelm you so
For, I’ll be the one who’s standing
I’ll be the one…I’ll be the one…
I’ll be the one who’s standing
On both feet…
My soft voice is fading away in the commotion
Your touch feels so good on my skin like lotion
I guess there’s no trace of me in your clever mind
I’m making this a big deal, being foolish and blind
So, don’t worry about a thing, it’s not your fault
Let go of me and I will fall apart
Nevermind, my heart has come to a sudden halt
Hold on to me, unhardened heart
For, I’ll be the one who’s standing
I’ll be the one…I’ll be the one…
I’ll be the one who’s standing
On both feet…
Don’t give up no matter what – well, that’s what you told me
Don’t ever lose sight of hope that will gather you up with glee
You don’t feel like a vigilant knight
You were always fearful day and night
Afraid you’ll lose all remaining control
The atmosphere awakens your soul
For, you’ll be the one who’s standing
You’ll be the one…you’ll endure the run
You’ll be the one who’s standing
On both feet…you are not alone,
For glory is out there somewhere
All along, you are not on your own
You’ll find your way out of this nightmare…
Gravity can’t make you feel incomplete…
Because you will be landing on both feet…
While I’ll be the one who’s standing
With a sad teardrop across my face
Yet, all of me will not stop fighting
Until God helps me with His grace
