One Small Word

The day begins so bright and keen
With hope for what’s to come
Then one small word by someone close
A knife it does it become

It cuts the strings of peace and Joy
That held the day’s bright hope
You feel the flow of happiness
Run down that sad steep slope

The sharpest knife that cuts so deep
That leaves you out of breath
Is one small word that bleeds no blood
While leaving heart felt death

This is a very well structured poem with a solid point to make. Well done. Emile. #7 "it does it become" ?
