Christy Stover Poet Rhyme

One Single

whom was the first to say,
that words do not hurt?
I do suppose that they
were really the first to blurt
    ugly vicious profanity
    to bring another down
    becoming slave to vanity
    they made another frown
just one single word
can cause a flood of tears
awful emotions stirred
causing a lifetime of fears
    each soul that God created
    has a unique and special beauty
    don't let your light be faded
    by ugly vicious profanity
