One September Noon-N

I always loved it when my mother reminded me
that I was born at noon on a September Saturday.

A breath of September's fresh air and gentle breeze were my first.
I cannot deny that there are others who remind me of her.

Sometimes it's in their name, and not always what they do.
I like April, but she can be wet and stormy; often suspenseful.

I like the sound of November and her symbols of harvest time.
I like October's name as well, and her official initiation of Autumn.

And who cannot like December bringing merriness and gifts?
But of September, with great affection, I must say, "I love her more".

I see her as a defender of fairness, standing between the heat and the freeze. She's my ambassador of goodwill, advocating
refrain and pleading for reprieve.
