One of These Days

One of these days
I will write you a poem
Perfectly stated
I hope you will see

Wonderful verses
of love never ending
Tender affections
for you penned by me

Melting your heart
with the words I have written
Making you smile
with each line you read

Rhyming emotions
of springtime and flowers
Sending the message
you’re all that I need

Phrases of beauty
so filled with devotion
Promised forever
in poetic ways

Something so special
you’ll never forget me
I will write that poem
one of these days
