One Night Under The Full Moon

The Moon is up
Her Face is Full
She commands respect this Eve
Like a goddess, she has total control
Of a Dancing, Restless Sea

The Lighthouse is on with her rotating light beam
Shining across the Sea
They work together
To aid in the endeavor
To guide the Battered Old Ship Home safety

And the Stars at Night
That shone so bright
Were the Old Ship's friendly Guide
On her fateful Ride
On the Ocean's Raging Tide

Though the Old Ship is Battered
Her Sails are Torn, Sailor's Minds in tatters
The Anchor should hold on till Morn
Then she can safely sail to her Dock on Shore
To save the Brave Souls is all that matters

Because of the Lighthouse and Moon Beam's shining blazing White, Silver and Copper
Saved the Old Ship from sinking down to Davey Jones's Locker
Though the Journey was frought with Danger
To this the Stout, Brave Sailors were no Stranger
And that was not going to stop her

Suddenly, up roared a Thunder Storming
It came out of Nowhere, without a Warning
You could see the Lightning crack the Sky
The gods were angry, but why?
All of the soaking wet Sailors were very busy with all of the Sails to down to tie

The Geese were flying Home for some Reason
Even though it wasn't the Season
Were they just trying to escape the Storm
In their usual grouping Arrow Form?
Their sound was both disturbing and pleasin'

The Sailors and Geese knew their way home
But for some reason they still had to roam
The Geese showed the Sailors the way to go
To sail safely on, you know
Regardless of the Horrific Storm, Raging Sea and White Waves of Foam

In the Light of the Lighthouse and Full Moon
The Old Ship and the Geese would try to arrive home soon
They covered the Distance
With the Full Moons, Lighthouses and Geese's assistance
Through all of the Raging Storm's resistance

The Old Ship sailed by all of the gleaming light on the dark night at 3 o'clock
To the Old Sleepy Boothe Bay Town Dock
But the Sailor's couldn't get The Old Ship to dockin'
Because the Sea was still with White Foam and raging to be shockin'
The Sailors needed some Luck, so on an old beam they started to knock

So they waited a very long while
For the Thunderstorm to calm down so Relentless and Vile
More comfortable the Beat-Up, Soaked and Tired Sailors would be
at the Old Tavern, "The Ragin' Sea"
After working so very hard mile after mile

The Old Ship finally arrived
With the Lighthouse, Full moon and Geese as their Guide
Where was heard an Old Man say,
"This was very strange,"
"Cause as far as I know, Geese don't usually fly at night."

With the Geese still in their V Shaped Form
The Old Ship successfully waited out the Storm
The Sailors didn't know that they got help from Above
By something that they could never have dreamed of
Suddenly, Mysterious, Mystical Fairy Lights swarmed

The Geese knew that their Job was done and they flew away
And the Wicked, Wind-Swept, Rain-Soaked Sailors began to greet the Warmth of the New Day
The Sailors on the Old Ship started to Dance, Sing and Cheer.
But this was no Jolly Good Time to crack open a Beer
The Sailors had to bail out the Old Ship, it was starting to List and Sway

The Captain on the Bridge was heard to say,
"I'll not go down to the Sea in Old Ship's today"
"We've been Blessed by the Lord"
"He helped us, with a little help From His Friends, and guided us to the Shore"
It was a Great Day to Remember as the Old Ship had cruised into the Tranquil Bay

The Cruel, Relentless, Merciless Storm was over and gone away
The Lighthouse had gone dark, The Full Moon went down and the Bright Sunshine Shone
The Cold, Battered, Weary Sailors broke out in Celebration
As they Sailed to this New Old Nation
Forever from there for the Old Ship to Sail on...
