One Night
One night of pure love and pleasure,
Brings me a heart full of pain,
Because it was only for one night,
We will never be together again,
We can't go back to what we had,
Two years of love now seem so sad,
We threw it away without a second thought,
Knowing in our hearts we were what each other sought,
I was looking all my life for someone just like you,
And now we're not together I wish it wasn't true,
I couldn't change you, the way that you were,
I wanted so much to be with you but then I wasn't sure,
I waited too long to tell you,
And now you'll never know,
Because I said goodbye to you,
And never let my feelings show.
