One Nation
My country has always been a tub of war.
We fought each other after shaking hands.
After the fight, we shook hands again and
Returned to the table of brotherhood.
The three colors of our flag represented one people.
The unity has always been an ideal, a work in progress
That often stalls but remains the little engine that could.
Sadly, something is fading in the colors of red, white, and blue.
The unified United States are now the divided states of red and blue.
The present family feuds have the flavor whose fragrance is destructive.
Were I not a born again Christian, I would not know what to do.
Whether there be sinister plots or ignorant notions at play, if we
Love our nation, this present season of uncertainties demands that
We continue to man our posts and keep our watch on the wall.
