One Mouth Two Many

One mouth two many

Two ears
I’m thankful
God did give,

to better
listen
learn to live.

Two eyes
I’m thankful
God did
give,

to better
 see and
learn to live.

One mouth
often
one too
many.

One
mouth
often
 offensive cruel,

and this
we must
govern
and rule.

For God
in wisdom
face did make,

this lesson
for all
reflection take.

More
listening and looking
each day
From angels mouth
this wisdom they say…

Two ears.

Two eyes.

One mouth
two many

Charming verse, Catherine! I had a good laugh when I read "one mouth too many." Sometimes we put our foot in it, don't we? Well done, Carolyn
