One More Time

She took her child. and ran into the night, I searched for them, they were nowhere in sight. My world shattered, I don’t know what to do, I’m not missing just one, but there is two. I have spent ten years, taking care of the child, Cast out of his life, I was Exiled. I miss his laughter, his voice and the looks on his face, With the two of them gone, I feel so out of place. Getting over her, was not easy it was tough, He was a blessing, a Diamond in the rough. It’s been over a year, and they tell me he is tall, My hands are tied, my backs against the wall. I thought, I would see him grow up become an adult, A fine young man, my input a direct result. I love him, as if he were mine, I would give my life, to see him just ONE MORE TIME….
