One More Chance

It was in a dream,
Again it was you and I.
It's been so many years,
and still it makes me cry.
If a jeannie would appear,
and grant me one wish,
if would be for,
One more chance,
One more try,
We'd go back in time
and never say goodbye.
I'd swallow my selfish pride
and have another chance with you.

I can't pass your house.
or travel down our road.
I still dread the fall
when all the leaves turn gold.
Holding my breathe,
in the cool fall breeze.
I softly wish for.
One more chance,
One more try,
We'd go back in time
and never say goodbye.
I'd swallow my selfish pride
and have another chance with you.
