One More Chance

I think about him night and day,
his eyes aren't a mystery.
Blank stares at the wall
when we ended,
were just part of my painful memory.
He thinks he knows
how much I love him,
but the truth is,
he doesn't and I try to tell him.
Sometimes I want
another chance,
and I wanna go back
to our time at
the dance.
But I know we can't
because of my mistakes.
I'm willing to try; it's a chance I'll take.

the one who holds your heart never understands, how much you love him, how you never wanted to end, how you could stare into his eyes so happily, even when you know something is wrong, the one who holds your heart, they never know.
