One Minute Here

Where has the time gone ~ I do not know

Now in October 
What next ~ winter snow

Where has the year gone ~ I do not know
   
A beautiful spring filled me with joy
All shiny and new and covered in dew

Summer was gorgeous so sunny and hot
Day after day though rain it did not

Autumn’s vibrant colours and leaves that are crisp
If only the weather would stay like this

But winter draws near
Such dark nights I fear
They make me feel down
I don’t want to be here

Winter’s the time my love went away
     Time doth heal 
          Or so they say

Where did my love go ~ I do not know

     One minute here ~ the next he was gone
