One Man

One Man

One man, a man crazed with greed
Conscripts and commands thousands of others
Under the pretext of protecting their homeland
To attack and kill their Ukrainian brothers.

One man, reputed to be charismatic
Hypnotized and bullied his German nation
With the delusion of their superior race -
That eliminating the Jews was their salvation.

One man, whose words and ways were uplifting
Urged us, when insulted, to turn the other cheek
Telling us to love our neighbor as our self
Saying the inner Kingdom is what we should seek.

Now all men, one man at a time,
Must stand up and declare their choice -
By what dynamic should our world be ruled?
May good will and cooperation be the prevailing voice.

If the realization that other beating hearts, lives, love, peace cannot be embraced by each one....and it obviously hasn't been, it makes me puzzle if these madmen are people or simply the embodiment of the devil himself. If only your poem would come true, but you know what? It will, someday. True Peace will rule when He that said 'Turn the other cheek" rules <3 Deep thoughts in your amazing write Molly <3 Pleased to meet you! ~BJ

Well thought and written! But with friends like the USA, there isn't much hope for the Ukraine!
