("Summer of Love", 2019, original encaustic mixed media) One Love With the passage of time One love follows after another - the nouns of our existence people, places and things we place our hopes on - Changing like the seasons In cycles of growth and decay. But one love remains constant Timeless simply by its presence out of time Ever changeless and unconditioned Even if unacknowledged Neglected or denied A root love That knows no bounds. With the seasons we cycle Around and around Growing and decaying, Recalling and forgetting What it is that holds us In its orbit In its love. (3/19/24)
