One Little Prayer
We cannot judge the power of even one little prayer
To ever challenge God, now that you wouldn't dare
But prayer to the Lord is so powerful and strong
Even if your prayer really isn't even that long
And this one little prayer will not be unheard or ever misplaced
So many use them with the many problems they have faced
But if you think that little prayer went unheard
Then you don't know the Lord and your thinking is absurd
A simple gesture done in praise
That will put sunshine in many a days
A simple thank you to Him every now and then
Hard to find such good woman and men
It's not the shorter the better
But also, God isn't expecting a seven page letter
And short prayers can be said often throughout the day
Yet what is really important is that you just start to pray
Be it Grace before meals
Or bowing before the Blessed Mother in shades of teal
Anytime of the day or night
For the Lord is always listening no matter how small or trite
