One Glorious Day

one glorious day?
-----

I praise God, the highest, also the longest
i am lowly flesh, never to return, a passing breeze
but of all and any, Christ is strongest
for Him i stride boldly forward, though on my knees

though choking on sin, i'm none the worse
for in His shadow, i am relieved
and though it seems at times, that life's a curse
i am as saved as my Lord is believed

i believe and can do no other
no matter the fear that may fester around
for i know Jesus as a Heavenly Brother
and where i stand with Him is sacred ground

i am as if; a silhouette of a day to come, not yet
for Christ is come right into me, and come to stay
and of His light i am but a barrier, but you can bet
that He will shine through one glorious day
