One Fear At a Time
Take a leap of faith
Remember what you've come to learn
Challenge your every fear
Even if you constantly yearn
Keep trying to achieve
What's important in your life
It doesn't matter what it is
I just wanted to be his wife
I drive past his house
My body shivers and quakes
We are all grown up now
We have what it takes
My chance is now buried
In memories of the past
He won't take a walk with me
To talk about what happened last
I hold his name as my last
Torturing myself as years go by
The next challenge is to change it
I just don't want to cry
Fear not giving up his name
For Mr. Right is going to wait
I just need to get over my fear
Of going on a date
I got over the ridiculous idea
Of him loving me
Now I need to move on
Myself I need to become free
Walk with no fear
Socialize with no needs
Enjoy what life I have left
Start planting new seeds
All grown up
And nowhere to go
Time to get off my sorry butt
Drive past the mountain of sorrow
I can drive around his mountain
Find a new untraveled terrain
Loving someone who doesn't love you back
Is just insane
I'm gonna pick up the phone
Call some old friends
See what happens after that
Pray my fears all end
