One day I was born
I don't need status
I don't need fame
I don't need lots of money
to feel safe
I don't need anybody
to lead my way
to tell me what to do
or what I cannot say...
I don't need a country
or a baseball hat
I don't need a mother
I don't need a dad
I don't need a dog
I don't need a cat
I don't need a last name
I don't need a flag.
I don't need to know
what you think of me
if you want to come
if you want to leave
if you think I'm wrong
if you think I'm sick
I don't care at all
if I am a good fit.
I don't need a God
I don't need a knight
I'm good on my own
living my life
one day I was born
then I was a child
one day I grew old
and one day, just like you, I'll die.
