One Day

I sit here watching you, as you sleep in your bed
tears rolling down my face as i stroke your head
wondering if you remember me when i go away
if i could id see you every single day
unfortunaty we have do make do with the time we get
and when i have to leave you i can see you get upset
daddy feels your pain too, daddy understands
daddy's trying to work things out daddy has his plans
mummy and daddy love you from the bottom of our heart
and nothing will ever change that even though we are apart
i love it when you throw a paddy like a younger me
sitting there playing with your trains as happy as can be
we run, we jump and chase each other all across the floor
and when i go out for a *** you follow me to the door
yet daddy will sometimes mess up but i try my best
time to sleep my little prince so peacefully on my chest
watching while your sleeping every breath that you take in
you give me so much energy with you i want to sing
daddy's not going no where son, daddy's here to stay
although were not together right now but we will be one day
