One Day

The tide comes in and
It starts to thunder
The water sprays and spins
As I quickly go under

I reach out for a hand
Not a soul there to save me
An escape I should've planned
Heaven I start to see

Forgetting how to breathe
My heart stops its beating
Loneliness I did achieve
Happiness I've been defeating

In front of me the gates appear
I turn to runaway
They say I've nothing to fear
This is all because of one day
