One Day

Missing someone you have never met
Feels like waiting for a moment that has happened before
Wanting a love you'll never get
Even though they are on the other side of the door
A breath away

The ifs buts and maybes haunt your mind
Telling sweet little tales of what could have been
A love you can never find
A love you have never seen

The pain of not knowing
Imagination running wild
Your heart glowing
With the desire of your inner child

Favourite colours, favourite places
Lost memories, lost moments
A concoction of possible faces
Different components
To the person you have never met
