One Day
Creepy tombstones year-round, but don’t bury me under
One. I dwell in the past, and genealogy is my life. I’m
Unique (in my own mind anyway) and I really enjoy
Reading just for fun. Poetry and blogging are my
True passions and I have two monsters that I hope
Never outgrow hugging me, but I know
Even now, they already have. More than anything, I
Yearn for my boyfriend to marry me one day.
*I wrote this poem on April 9, 2021, as part of a ’30 days of poetry’ challenge. This was day 9 and the prompt was: Write an acrostic poem using your name. These are always silly and fun and can tell a lot about a person. What does this say about me?
