One Day
One day we shall mount up on a silver-lined cloud.
We shall dance and sing his praises, with voices ever so loud.
One day we shall soar to heaven as eagles and depart from this earth.
The chains of gravity shall be shattered from this place of our carnal birth.
One day all of our troubles will be like water spiraling down a drain.
There will be no more sorrow, no more tears and no more pain.
One day the sun will continue to shine and will never set,
For those who have built their riches in heaven, there will be no regret.
One day we shall stroll down brightly lit streets paved of gold.
In Our Father's house, the mansions are bursting with riches untold.
One day, from being steadfast and patient, we shall reap our reward.
Thus shall end all labor, all misunderstandings and all discord.
One day we will enter into Our Father's house and see his merciful face.
We then, will be filled with abundant joy and exceeding grace.
One day when the blinds have closed and our journey here has ended,
The Our Father's voice, we shall hear and our spirits will have ascended.
